What it is
As a lawyer you owe your clients confidentiality, so it is fair to ask what happens to what you type and upload in dikaio.ai. This guide sums up what the app itself states and what the company's official documents say, and nothing more.
Why it helps
Knowing the facts lets you decide when and how to use dikaio.ai. The main points are these:
- Your data is not used for training. The Privacy Policy states that the AI models used are not trained on user data. The notice in the attach window says the same about your documents.
- Your documents are yours. The notice in the attach window states that nobody else has access to the documents you attach, apart from you. If you share a conversation, however, anyone with the link also sees its attached files listed as sources.
- Your chats stay in your account. As the sign-in and sign-up pages say, they stay there unless you choose to share them.
- The company's ISMS is certified. DECODE GR I.K.E., the company that runs dikaio.ai, has an Information Security Management System (ISMS) certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by Prescient Security. The certification covers the ISMS that supports the dikaio.ai platform and its cloud hosting; it is not a certification of the product itself.
- The security measures are written down. The Privacy Policy mentions, among other things, encryption in transit and at rest, and role-based access control.
The Privacy Policy also notes that no technology can guarantee absolute security. Answers in dikaio.ai are produced by artificial intelligence; checking them before you rely on them is always your responsibility.
How to get started
Read the Privacy Policy
Open https://www.dikaio.ai/en/privacy-policy. It explains what data is collected, how it is used, how long it is kept and what your rights are.
Look at the security certification
The page https://www.dikaio.ai/en/security describes the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification of DECODE GR I.K.E.'s ISMS by Prescient Security and its scope. You request the certificate through the Trust Center, https://trust.dikaio.ai: you give your name, email, company and reason and, once the request is approved, you can view and download it.
Check the notice when you attach files
When you attach documents to a chat, the window shows a notice about their security. Read it before you upload anything.
Choose what you share
A chat becomes available to other people only when you click «Share link». If you do not want a chat to be saved at all, see the guide "Incognito chats".
