Deleting your account

How to delete your dikaio.ai account from account management, what to check first and what applies to your data.

You want to close your account and cannot find where to do it. There is no separate page. The option is at the end of the «Security» tab of account management. First copy anything you want to keep. If you have an active subscription, cancel it. Click the row with your name at the bottom left and select «Manage Account». Open the «Security» tab and scroll to the end of the page. At the very end is the «Delete account» button, in its own section. You are asked to type the confirmation phrase shown on screen. The action is permanent and cannot be undone. Some data may be kept where the law requires it. For full deletion, write to us.

What you see

You want to close your dikaio.ai account and cannot find where to do it. There is no separate page for it in the main menu. The option is inside account management.

Why it happens

Deleting an account is a sensitive action, so it sits at the end of the security tab, in its own section. In account management that section is titled «Delete account».

Two points need care:

  • The action is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • According to the Privacy Policy, some data may be kept for legal, tax or security reasons, for as long as the law requires.

How to fix it

  1. Prepare

    Copy anything you want to keep, for example answers or documents you created. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first (see "Changing or cancelling your plan"). If you have any question about your charges, write to support@dikaio.ai before you go ahead.

  2. Open account management

    Click the row with your name at the bottom left and select «Manage Account». You can also open https://www.dikaio.ai/en/app/chat?settings=security directly.

  3. Go to Security

    Select the «Security» tab and scroll to the end of the page, to the «Delete account» section.

  4. Click Delete account

    Click «Delete account». A confirmation window appears, saying that the action is permanent and that some data may be kept. For the second point, see the last paragraph of this article.

  5. Type the confirmation

    The screen asks you to type "Delete account" exactly as shown. Then click the «Delete account» button.
