The answer doesn't appear or stopped

The dikaio.ai answer didn't arrive, stopped halfway or showed a connection error. What it means and how to fix it.

Video transcript

The answer does not appear or stopped Here, under your question, the answer normally appears. Other times you see a message instead, such as «The response was canceled» when sending is cancelled. Under the message you will find «Try again» or, if the answer stopped halfway, «Continue answering». Wait a little and refresh the page with F5: the answer that was prepared usually appears. If the conversation keeps failing, start a «New conversation» and send the question again. Check your connection too: try another network, and turn off a VPN or extensions that block pages. If it continues, send us a screenshot, the conversation link and the time it happened.

What you see

You send a question and the answer does not appear, stops halfway, or is replaced by one of these messages:

  • «There was a connection error. Refresh the page to see the answer.»
  • «The connection dropped while the answer was being prepared. Recovering it — you can keep this tab open.»
  • «Something went wrong while generating the response. Please try again.»
  • «The response was canceled»
  • If it was the first question of a new conversation: a red «Error» notice with «Something went wrong. Please try again.», and your question goes back into the box so you can send it again.

Under such a message you may see the button «Try again» or, when the answer stopped halfway, «Continue answering».

Why it happens

The answer reaches you gradually, over your connection. If the connection breaks (an unstable network or Wi-Fi, a VPN, a browser extension that blocks pages), the answer may not reach your screen in full, even though the app prepared it. «The response was canceled» appears when the sending is cancelled, for example with the «Cancel Message» button.

Less often, the problem is temporary and on the service side.

How to fix it

  1. Wait a little

If you see the message that the answer is being recovered, keep the tab open for a minute or two.

  2. Refresh the page

Press F5 (or Ctrl+R), or use your browser's refresh button. The answer that was prepared usually appears.

  3. Try again or continue

Click «Try again» to send the question again. If the answer stopped halfway, click «Continue answering».

  4. Check your connection

Try another network, for example your phone instead of Wi-Fi. Turn off your VPN and temporarily disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers, from your browser's extensions menu.

  5. Start a new conversation

If the conversation keeps failing, click «New conversation» and send the question again.

In incognito chats, answers are not saved. If the connection drops, the answer cannot be recovered and you need to ask again.

Still need help?

If the problem continues, send us a screenshot, the conversation link (the address in your browser's address bar) and the time it happened.
