Error messages and limits in chat

What the messages about a too-long question, the message limit, the question limit or used-up credits mean, and how to carry on.

Video transcript

A red message instead of an answer When you reach a limit, a message in the conversation tells you which limit it is. Question too long? Past 9,000 characters a counter appears; the limit is 10,000. Shorten the text, or attach it as a document and ask dikaio.ai to analyse it. Reached the message limit of one conversation? Click «New conversation» and carry on there. If the message is about Extended Analysis, switch it off here and carry on. Question limit: wait a little. Credits used up: the upgrade link is in the message. If your message is not covered here, send us a screenshot and the conversation link.

What you see

You send a question and, instead of an answer, a message appears in the conversation. The common ones are:

  • «The question you asked is too long.» The limit is 10,000 characters.
  • «You have reached the conversation messages limit.»
  • «You have exceeded the question limit.»
  • «You have consumed all the available credits of your subscription.»
  • «You have reached the credit limit set for your organization membership.»
  • «The pages of the attached documents exceed your subscription's file page limit.»
  • «This feature is available for paid users only.»

Why it happens

Each message names the limit you reached: the size of the question, the number of messages in one conversation, the pace of questions, the credits of your plan or organisation, the pages of your documents, or the features of your plan. Limits depend on your plan.

How to fix it

  1. Question too long

Once you type more than 9,000 characters, a counter appears next to the box. Shorten the text, or attach it as a document and ask dikaio.ai to analyse it.

  2. Message limit in one conversation

Click «New conversation». If the conversation has files, use the «New conversation with these files» button that appears above the question box in long conversations. If you need a higher limit, write to support@dikaio.ai.

  3. Question limit

Wait a little and try again.

  4. Credits used up

The message contains an upgrade link. If you are already on the highest plan, the message says so, and your credits renew with the next billing cycle. See the article "I've run out of credits". If the message is about Extended Analysis, switch it off in the question box and carry on.

  5. Organisation limit

Your organisation's administrator set this limit. Ask them for more credits.

  6. Document pages or a Free plan

Remove some attached documents. For features that are not available on the Free plan, click the link «Upgrade your subscription» in the message.
