Choosing your sources: legislation and case law

Decide where dikaio.ai looks: Greek or EU legislation and case law. More focused answers with one click.

Video transcript

Choose where dikaio.ai searches Before you send a question, choose its sources with the «Data Sources» filter icon on the toolbar. There are four sources: Greek and EU legislation, Greek and EU case law. Tick the ones you need. The answer is built only from them, so it stays focused. The number on the icon shows how many sources you have selected. On the Free plan, the two EU sources are locked. You can upgrade your plan to use them. Write your question and press send. The research runs on the sources you selected. The result: a more focused answer, with citations that are easier to check.

What it is

Before you send a question, you can tell dikaio.ai which sources to search. You do it from the filter icon «Data Sources» on the toolbar of the question box. A small number next to it shows how many sources you have selected.

There are four sources:

  • «Greek legislation»: laws, codes and ministerial decisions.
  • «Greek case law»: decisions of the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court (Areios Pagos), the Council of State and other Greek courts.
  • «EU legislation»: regulations, directives and other EU legislation.
  • «EU case law»: judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Why it helps

The answer is built from the sources you choose. For a purely domestic matter, fewer and more relevant sources keep unrelated material out. If there is an EU angle, you add EU legislation or case law with one click.

The result is a more focused answer, and its citations are easier to check.

How to get started

  1. Open a conversation

Click «New conversation» in the left sidebar. «Greek legislation» is selected to begin with.

  2. Open the filter

Click the filter icon «Data Sources» on the toolbar of the question box. The list of four sources opens.

  3. Pick what you need

Tick the sources you want and untick the others. The number on the icon updates straight away.

  4. Write and send your question

Click «Send Message». The research runs on the sources you selected.

Tips

  • Select only what is relevant to the question. Many unrelated sources do not make the answer better.
  • When you select three or more sources, a warning explains that the question may use more than one credit, according to the terms of use.
  • On the Free plan, EU legislation and EU case law are not available. Those two rows are locked; hovering over them shows «Not available with a Free plan». A note under the list carries the «Upgrade plan» link.
  • Your selection applies to the questions you send after changing it. You can change it again at any time, even in the middle of a conversation.
