What it is

A legal question is the main way to work in dikaio.ai. You write your question in plain words, as you would put it to a colleague, and dikaio.ai researches the sources and answers.

Why it helps

You save time on the first pass. Instead of searching legislation and case law separately, you get an organised answer with references to its sources. That lets you check its basis yourself before you rely on it in an opinion or a pleading. You can also continue the conversation to narrow the question without retyping it from scratch.

How to get started

  1. Open a new conversation

In the left sidebar, click «New conversation». The writing box appears.

  2. Write your question

In the box «Ask any legal question here», give as much detail as you can: the facts, the people involved, the time period, and anything you know about the applicable law. Enter sends the question; for a new line, press Shift and Enter together. If a microphone button appears next to the box, you can also dictate your question; it shows only in browsers that support voice input.

  3. Send it and follow along

Click «Send Message». The «Researching sources» card shows the steps of the research as they happen. If something needs clarifying, the «A few quick questions» card appears: answer its questions for a more focused result.

  4. Check the sources

The sources sit inside the answer: each provision or decision carries a link (for example "ΦΕΚ Α' 35/1983"), and sections such as "Legislation" and "Judicial Decisions" close the text. Open the ones you need and read the original.

  5. Carry on or rate

Type a follow-up in the same conversation, or select one of the «Recommended questions». «Rate the response» tells us whether the answer helped.

Tips

The answer is a research aid and does not replace your own legal judgment. Always check the sources.
