Video transcript

The document library: manage your files Open the «Document library» from the left sidebar. Here is every file you have uploaded to dikaio.ai. The list shows, for each file, its type, size, pages, date, use and status. You do not upload here: files come from your chats, and you reuse them without uploading again. Type part of the file name to find a file. Change the sort order: newest, oldest, by name or by size. «Ready» means you can use it in a chat. «Pending» is still being processed. Select up to 15 files for a chat or «Delete». «Delete permanently» cannot be undone. Your files, organised and ready for a new chat

What it is

The document library is a page that lists every file you have uploaded to Dikaio.ai in one place. You open it from the sidebar with the «Document library» item, and the page itself is titled «Documents».

You do not upload files directly on this page. Files arrive in the library when you attach them in your chats. For each file you see the type, size, pages, upload date, how many chats use it, and its status.

Why it helps

The more you work, the more files pile up. The library gives you an overview and control:

  • Reuse a document in a new chat without uploading it again.
  • Find a file quickly by searching its name.
  • Start a chat with more than one file, for example a contract and its annexes.
  • Clean up what you no longer need.

How to get started

  1. Open the library

Select «Document library» in the sidebar. If you have not uploaded anything yet, you will see "You have not uploaded any files yet" and a «Go to chat» button.

  2. Find the file

Type in «Search by file name…», or change the order with «Sort by»: newest or oldest first, by name, or by size.

  3. Check the status

A file marked «Ready» can be used in a chat. A «Pending» file is still being processed. «Failed» and «Unsupported» files cannot be used in a chat, but you can delete them.

  4. Start a chat

Select one or more files, up to 15, and click «Chat with 3 files» (the number is how many files you selected; for one file the button says «Chat with 1 file»). You can also type your question in the "Ask about the selected files…" field and click «Send question».

  5. Delete what you do not need

Select the files and click «Delete». The app shows which chats use them. To finish, confirm with «Delete permanently».

Tips

  • For a file that failed, delete it and upload it again from a chat.
  • If the list is long, use the page controls at the bottom.
